It’s a historic day in the Space Race the United States first moonlanding mission in decades launched this morning super exciting
Soo if all goes well Moon Lander Rocket this would Mark the first time the country has landed on the moon since the Apollo missions in 1972 and the first by a private company Xavier Walton.
Joins us live from Florida with more on this momentous time in history Exavier hey Kelly good morning yeah it was a historic moment somewhat even say it was presidential.
A presidential launch as well in the wee hours of the morning it was completely dark and all of a sudden uh Blast Off darkness turns into light.
Here’s what it sounded like for Mission Control we have ignition and liftoff you are witnessing history the first Bulan rocket sending.
Where are US rockets launched?
A commercial company’s lunar lander Moon Lander Rocket to the Moon marking the first time since Apollo 17 back in 1972 the Quest is going back to the moon’s surface.
If successful this will be the first commercial Rover to touch Moon Lander Rocket the moon’s soil starting a new era in space exploration.
It’s a dream my heart is still pounding and we have separation of both srbs this is an opportunity for commercial payloads to fly to the surface of the Moon on a regular routine basis.
That means moonbound spacecraft named Moon Lander Rocket paragen has a long journey ahead and needs to orbit the earth once then orbit the Moon three times before making.
A soft autonomous Landing our techn ology Moon Lander Rocket has increased tremendously uh in complexity that now we can actually go back and establish.
Which is the latest rocket launch? Moon Lander Rocket
A lunar base astrobotic the American space company that built the lunar lander is carrying out six experiments for NASA plus a dozen other payloads to the moon for paying customers.
That includes transporting authenticated DNA in capsules from three American Presidents George Washington Eisenhower and John F Kennedy in deep space Also hitching Moon Lander Rocket.
A ride into orbit as part of the Celesta space service remains from Fame Moon Lander Rocket Star Trek Creator Jee Roddenberry and a few other prominent original.
Star Trek cast members how cool would it be to have uh three US presidents on board with the original cast of Star Trek with the NASA astronauts with eminent scientists and from people literally from about 30 countries.

What rockets does NASA launch?
All right Marky so very very cool um the lunter Lander paragr as for its Journey all the way to the moon it’s got to go around a few times.
It is expected to land that that soft landing on February 23rd Moon Lander Rocket If that is of course if everything uh goes as planned yeah goes smoothly certainly.
A star studded passenger list and uh quite a ride for them I’m sure they’re looking down Xavier Walton thanks so much thank you for watching go to news Nation to find.

We want to take you live to Cape Canaveral in Florida for what is hoped to be something that has not been seen in more than 50 years the first American spacecraft to attempt to land on the moon in more than half.
What was the famous NASA failure?
A century is scheduled to blast off in the next few minutes taking us through the launch is our science correspondent Jonathan Amos and my colleague Rachel McAdam.
You’re with BBC news we are just over 2 minutes before the planned launch and maiden voyage of the Vulcan rocket the launch is scheduled for 718 GMT or 218 local time in Cape Canaveral in Florida.
Which is where the launch is due to take place I’m joined by our science Moon Lander Rocket correspondent John Amos so John.
What are we expecting to see in the next few minutes Vulcan H Moon Lander Rocket they’ve never flown it before but it has a tremendous pedigree um so the rockets.
That came before this from Ula have launched many National Security missions Moon Lander Rocket for United States spy satellites weather satellites missions to Mars.
The failures of NASA spacecraft?
All sorts of things this is their new rocket and on the top of it today we have the paragen Lander aiming to make the first commercial Landing soft Landing.
I emphasize soft landing on the moon uh and also um you know the first American soft landing on the moon since the end of the Apollo era Apollo 17 was the last soft Landing.
You know you get down in a state where you can get back off uh again Moon Lander Rocket this particular spacecraft will stay down um but it doesn’t want to crash into the moon.
We’ve seen so many previous Ventures they’ve been crashing into the moon quite recently because they haven’t got their descent thrusters working as they should do hopefully.
Which moon mission failed?
They will get this right on this Lander paragen tucked away in that Moon Lander Rocket no nose cone at the top of the rocket and any minute.
Now we should be seeing this rocket lift off from the pad yes John fingers crossed um because these launches can get called off fairly last minute can’t they tell us about.
The window that they have today yeah they’ve got about Moon Lander Rocket 45 minutes to get off uh today uh varies depending on which day uh of the week a month.
They go uh they have had attempt Before Christmas where Moon Lander Rocket they thought they were going to launch that was a I think an instantaneous launch.
They had to get off on the button but they have 45 minutes Moon Lander Rocket to get away today so if they do encounter uh a technical hitch just as they get towards.

Why does NASA launch from Florida?
That liftoff point then uh they can troubleshoot for a little while um before calling Moon Lander Rocket it a day if they call it a day because they’re unhappy about some sensor.
Then uh they can come back tomorrow although the weather as Moon Lander Rocket I understand it in Florida is not so good so about a minute away uh from from launch now.
That rocket is full of methane liquid methane liquid oxygen that is what is going to power it off the pad um and it should fly for a couple of minutes uh before the solid rocket boosters on the side.
Come away yeah and then it’ll keep going off into space so fingers crossed yeah 10 seconds to launch n John so we’ll just sit back you can see the engine firing up first United launch Alliance rocket launching.
A new era in space flight to the moon and Beyond there we have Moon Lander Rocket it the Vulcan rocket has lifted off firing into the air if you’ll be able to see the pictures of this rocket.
Why are they sending a rocket to the moon?
Firing up into the air after it launched from Cape canaval in Florida so it’s a good um it’s a good flight so far Rachel uh we’re waiting on the first Milestone.
Which is uh the uh completion of the burn from the two solid rocket boosters on the sides uh of the core the main stage of the vcan rocket so those solid boosters.
That help it get off the pad they’ll burn for about a minute and 50 seconds and then they’ll shut down and they’ll be ejected off to the side.
The main core stage will continue on uh for a few minutes more but so far it’s looking good uh the rocket as we just hear from the uh the commentator from Mission Control.
Why did NASA stop sending rockets to the Moon?
Says they’ve gone through Max Q which is the point in the ascent uh where the vehicle is experiencing maximum aerodynamic pressure so the loads on the front of that rocket.
At their greatest um as it carries on the air will get thinner and thinner uh and then the pressure uh that that rocket is feeling.
Will get less and less as it climbs uh Skyward so we’re heading out east over the Atlantic today lifting off from Cape Canaveral in Florida.
There go the solid rocket boosters falling away and so now we are on just uh the two main be4 engines at the base of that Vulcan rocket.
What has happened to the rocket to the Moon?
They’ll keep pushing away uh they’ll keep pushing away until 4 minutes and 58 seconds after liftoff and then the main part of the rocket.
That core stage will separate from the upper stage which is called centor and the centor will ignite its engine and it’s uh got a tank full of liquid hydrogen and oxygen.
It will continue on then for another few minutes um we’re not expecting the uh the Lander to come off the top of the rocket until about 50 minutes after liftoff there you are there a it’s a marvelous view of the solid rocket boosters.
